The aim of this module is to enable the students to display their knowledge and understanding of the modules they have studied on the whole programme by applying what they have learnt to their current employment (post) and place of work.
The role of the Work Based Project is to enable students to analyse, integrate and apply the knowledge and theory learned during the programme with the practical and technical skills of the work place thus providing the student with an holistic learning experience in their chosen discipline.
To develop student motivation and higher level learning skills, the module is predominantly student-centred thus helping to prepare Foundation Degree students for further study at honours degree level.
Part-time / Work based Students
The brief for the project will be prepared by the student in conjunction with his/her employer and agreed with the module tutor.
Full –time students
The brief for the project will be prepared by the student in conjunction with the module tutor and will be based on a case study.
Learning sessions will consist of tutorials and individual attention for students as appropriate.
