In any project careful planning and project control are essential to ensure the smooth running and satisfactory completion of a project for the client. This module is designed to equip you with knowledge, understanding and skills to enable you to administer and manage projects from inception to completion. You will consider the relationship between client and designer/consultant, examine the most efficient and cost effective ways of working to ensure clients achieve value for money including methods of procurement, supply chain management and project management techniques.

|3.||Be able to evaluate a range of issues and information relating cost and value||Analyse project costs and evaluate alternatives to determine best value for the client|
|4.||Be able to investigate alternative methods of project management and control||Evaluate alternatives and prepare a plan for a project|
Your achievement of the learning outcomes for this module will be tested as follows:
|Description||1500 word essay relating to the evaluation of a clients brief and advising on procurement and contractual arrangments||Case study based assessment relating to project evaluation including cost and value, planning and management of a project|
