20 credits at level HE6
This module enables you to consider a major design activity from first contact with prospective clients and the initial briefing, through to developing the brief, selling the design concepts, sourcing and researching both contemporary and historical sources, then onto the application of the activity - managing problems, budget, external factors and time.
Students will be encouraged to build up relationships with existing design practises / interior designers, attend trade fairs and participate in activities which promote professional aspects, which will inform your design journal.

Over all study time – 200 hours.
Class contact – 36 hours. Activities will include practicals, lectures, guest speakers, exhibitions, students seminars, prresentation guidance.
Self directed study time – 164 hours

|3.||Produce a reflective commentary||Evaluate, in a credible manner, the interpersonal and practical skills which have been demonstrated in the practical and presentational aspects of the module.|
