The module content and associated practical assignment briefs are designed to cover two main types of computer drawing programmes:
Module content will be introduced and developed through a structured programme of practical demonstrations supported by related teaching materials, tutorials and practical workshops.
You will explore the various techniques and programmes used in digital design in relation to a set fashion design brief. You will be expected to document your learning and understanding of digital technology via a module journal.

|1.||Understand the concept of computer aided drawing and design in relation to fashion design development||Describe and evaluate the processes used in the production of creative designs through an ongoing module journal;|
|2.||Demonstrate an understanding of the creative possibilities of specific computer aided design programmes.||Demonstrate a practical understanding of the preparation of visual digital imagery, typographic elements and computer applications;|
|3.||Explore creative ideas for fashion design using appropriate computer applications||Develop a range of designs which demonstrate your understanding of the relationship between original artwork and computer aided design;|
|4.||Present design work and module journal to an appropriate level.||Present finished design work to an appropriate level using a range of appropriate ICT and presentation skills.|
Your achievement of the learning outcomes for this module will be tested as follows:
|Description||Assessment will be based upon a module journal outlining own practical developments, and a research folder including research into digital technology for fashion design and a set of final designs which are presented to portfolio standard|
