This module provides the student with an opportunity to gain work experience in the Sport and Fitness Industry.
It will enable the student to develop personal and professional skills within a working environment and to become better preapared for employment and career progression.
It aims to develop the student's ability to distinguish the internal departmental operations of a leisure facility. It also enables the student to identify the different roles and responsibilities within an employment organisation and the role of that organisation in the community.
The module also provides the student with further opportuntiies to engage in personal development planning through reflective practice on the experience of working in the industry and the preparation of a reflective diary.
Experience of different roles within Sport and Fitness organisations, obtained through a work placement.
The roles and responsibilities of employees and employer within an organisation.
Best Practice Guidelines.
Dealing with customers, supervisors and colleagues.
Health and Safety Legislation in the work place.
Industry qualifications and career development.
Portfolio of Evidence Including Reflection 50%
