The aim of this module is to provide an understanding of the main areas of legal impact on business by way of an examination of the regulatory framework of common law rules, statutory provisions and EC law.
Emphasis will be placed on the essential legal principles and general awareness of the legal environment necessary for managers in business.

Making Business Contracts
Law of Tort (Negligence)
Health and Safety
The teaching and learning methods include a series of class sessions designed to open out the subject. Case study analysis will encourage a critical awareness of relevant issues.
Students will make a presentation based on their assessment of the major legal constraints they identify as being relevant to their company.
The second assessment will comprise a series of case study analyses linked wherever possible to their situation.
