In this module you will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed as an
independent practitioner in your chosen specialism. You will generate ideas and scripts,
and construct a brief for multiplatform products and services. Following this, you will
construct an application for commission.
• Stimulating creativity
Generating creative ideas for commissions.
Pitching for commissions; analysing and understanding your intended audiences;
introduction to the NABC (needs, approaches, benefits and competition) model.
• Project management
Establishing a team; compliance; developing distribution outlets for your work;
estimating costs; making a proposal; writing synopsis and outlines.
• Transferable skills and PDP
e-PDP; refection on experiences; action planning; planning work schedules; self
management; working with others; communication skills.
This module will be delivered through lectures and practical workshops. For your
assessment you will make a proposal for your multiplatform product or service, make a
pitch for a commission, evaluate you working practices, and devise an action plan for
when you have successfully completed this module you will:

|4.||Assess compliance issues in relation to your concept.||4.1 Research compliance issues in relation to your concept and provide evidence to show you have not breeched regulations.|

5.1 Critically evaluate you creative input.
5.2 Critically evaluate the effectiveness of your pitch.
5.3 Devise an action plan for improvement of your work and show how you have taken account of feedback from relevant others.
