Change Your University of Bolton Password

Every User has a login username and password. Passwords should be changed on a regular basis.

Passwords used on the University network must comply with the rules set out below. If your new password does not comply with all these rules, the system will reject it and you will need to choose a different password.

Your new password must:

• not be the same as your previous 5 passwords.
• not be similar to your logon name.
• not be similar to your name.
• contain at least 8 characters or more and must be a mixture of letters and numbers.

Please note that login passwords are case sensitive, i.e. if you type it in capitals when changing it, it must be always typed in capitals.

Changing your password on this page will have an effect on the following passwords:

Network login:	your password for logging into the network
Webmail:	your personal e-mail account
Moodle:	e-learning
OpenAthens:	provides access to databases, e-journals and e-books
